5K – What would you choose?

BlogHer recently gave away a $5,000 sweepstakes prize. The sponsor was KitchenAid. You can see the original posts in the KitchenAid Fall cooking challenge. Since one of my day jobs is handling the sweepstakes, I knew about the promotion, but didn’t think about it much beyond the clerical parts of a sweepstakes.

Our winner was chosen and once she knew it was real, she made her choices. I loved seeing the list. Sort of. It is sort of like watching some shopping show like “Say Yes to the Dress” or “House Hunters” –really any of them where you watch people make choices. You know that you sit there too and go “She really should have gone with the other one.” Or “Great choice! Pick that one!”

Of course, what happened is that I headed over to KitchenAid.com to see what I would choose.  And since I am having trouble deciding…and because I want to read more lists of how people would spend money at Kitchenaid–head over there and come back with your closest list of items without going over $5000.

Totally not sponsored, totally me being quirky. I really want to know.

  1. I need a new refrigerator. That’s what I’d get. After that? I don’t really care. I suppose we could use a new dishwasher seeing as ours is dead.

  2. You know that Chris would get to spend most of the $5k since he is the kitchen king, but I’d get a kick-ass blender to make my summer smoothies with. And I’d request that Chris get a sausage stuffer attachment for his stand mixer. Does Kitchenaid even make a sausage stuffer attachment?

So as I clicked away to look for Kitchenaid sausage stuffer attachments I noticed the kettles and they are sure shiny! So add a tea kettle to my list, please!

  3. I love everything KitchenAid so doubt I’d have any trouble using up the $5K. In my dream, I’d love a new stove/oven. Mine is 18 years old but just was never thrilled with it. In reality, we need a new 4 slice toaster. I love the look of the ProLine items but I’m not a fan of red. That tea kettle is fascinating! 🙂 So what would you choose?

  4. I don’t know. I do know that I loved the pro-line hand blender mixer thingamabob.

  5. Yes, there is a sausage stuffer attachment.
