Oooo Chili and Pizza–two great tastes that taste great together? Maybe not. This simply frightening (to me) recipe combines canned chili, hamburger rolls, onions, and cheddar cheese (curiously not the standard retro gross American Cheese) to make the main dish–Chili Pizza. Note the serving suggestions–add yourself some more sodium by serving with chicken and rice soup. Yum. I bet the family would love this!
6 thin onion slices
3 hamburger rolls, split and toasted
1 can Bounty Chili Con Carne (with beans) (Does this exist anymore? Substitute the canned chili of your choice)
6 slices Cheddar Cheese
Place onion slice on each half roll; top with about 1/4 cup chili, then with cheese slice. Broil sandwiches about 4 inches from heat for 5 minutes or until hot. Serves 6.
