		<description>Oh good! I am glad we aren&#039;t the only ones facing this odd banana issue. But apples are good this time of year-just hard to serve my mother because she needs them in slivers. (or made into apple sauce)</description>

		<description>As a fellow Illinoisan, I can tell you I&#039;ve had banana issues too. Either they are rock-hard and green or bruised beyond recognition. The bunch I just bought (that were only sort of bruised) were all gross and mushy on the inside. I don&#039;t even like bananas that much, but I force myself to eat a piece of fruit every day. Guess I&#039;ll be switching to apples.</description>

And, no care giving isn&#039;t always fun, but I will tell you it still hurts terribly when they are gone from us.  

A couple of years ago,  there weren&#039;t any bananas here at all.  Hard to tell happens to fruit and vegetables when they are stored so long and shipped so far.</description>
