		<description>You can probably use almost any kind of fruit that won&#039;t prevent the gelatin from setting. I&#039;m making this tonight (with Dr Pepper instead of Coke, but using maraschino cherries) and the kids can snack on it all week. Thanks for the inspiration.</description>

		<description>I thought the recipe was going to call for cherry coke, I guess you could use that too. Didn&#039;t people used to make this with canned sweet cherries? I think I have seen that recipe quite a few times. I bet kids would like the maraschino cherries better.</description>

		<description>Yes, you can use Coke - or lemon-lime soda (7-Up), ginger ale, Dr. Pepper, orange soda, etc.  We did that when we were kids in the &#039;60&#039;s.  Just what we needed - more sugar! :)  Thanks for the reminder. 

Oh, if we weren&#039;t making &quot;fizzy&quot; jello, we always used fruit juice instead of the cold water.</description>
