I had never heard of the National Day of Silence. Probably because I don't have any contact with kids anymore. It is such a tragedy that younger and younger kids are taking their own life.

Oh TW, this just breaks my heart. He was just a baby. Just a few weeks ago a 6th grade boy was found hanging on the back of one of the doors in the boys washroom of the very same middle school Jory...and all of my kids went to. They initially said it was suicide, but the mother was sure that it wasn't and is fighting it. The case is still being investigated. The thought that this little kid took his life is horrible enough. But the thought that other kids may have taken his life is so painful it actualy makes me feel sick. It's a horribly sad loss no matter what.

You give your sweet kids an extra hug for me okay? Love, Joy

So, so sad.

As you know there are verbal bullies and physical bullies.
The year my son was a senior our local high school implemented an intervention group made up of volunteer students. Guess who the volunteers where? The verbal meanies. I understand it is still that way. The popular kids volunteer and scare all the other kids away. Grrrrr
