Teriyaki Appetizers

Filed under: Appetizers, Meat — Tarrant/TW

Yum! A retro teriyaki appetizer. What more could you want?

1/2 c soy sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 clove garlic
1 tsp cracked ginger root
1 1/2 lb. round steak

Combine soy sauce, sugar, garlic and ginger root. Cut steak into 1/2 inch cubes; add to soy sauce mixture. Let stand overnight. Remove meat; cook quickly in hibachi and serve on toothpicks.

  1. This reminds me that my parents use to have a small, heavy cast iron hibachi that they got in Japan. Too bad they don’t have it anymore, this would be great to make out on the patio.

  2. My parents had one too. I think that if we ever actually got a barbecue grill, I would get just the little hibachi.

  3. I like that recipe… simple but flavorful. It’s all in the marinade.
