I don’t know. The word congealed doesn’t work for me when talking about food. In any case, this is a classic Jell-o salad.
1 pkg cherry gelatin
1 1/2 c. boiling water
1 3-oz pkg cream cheese
1 sm pkg crushed pineapple
1 1/4 c. grated apples
1/2 c. chopped nuts.
Dissolve gelatin in boiling water; cool. Mix cream cheese with a small amount of the pineapple chuse. Add pineapple, apples and nuts. Add to gelatin mixture. Chill until firm. Yield: 6 servings.

Thanks Sorina. Give it a try. I usually leave out the nuts since we don’t do nuts very often at this house.

I’m still laughing at the name. Sounds like a science project. We leave nuts out at our home too (we’re plenty nuts there anyway). This would be a great way to use up all the free apples we get in the fall.

Yes, it would…though I am a fan of whipping up some apple butter with an abundance of apples.
