		<description>i love cream of potato soup. this is basically like my recipe... i use stock instead of water to cook the potatoes in and less butter, though. my onions get sauteed in the butter first and then the potatoes and liquid go in with them. and on occasion i&#039;ll add any other veggies i have around... leeks get sauteed with onions... broccoli gets added for the last few minutes of simmering... etc. the key to making this delicious and special is to puree everything together once it&#039;s done. yay for immersion blenders. really rich and creamy soup, but still fast and easy. to dress up the potato soup for fancy, a dollop of sour cream and a sprinkle of sharp cheddar on top can&#039;t be beat. but yes, potato soup is a delicious, cheap, filling hot meal, and one of my retro favourites.</description>
