Stewed Raisins

Filed under: Fruits, Recipes, retro food — Retro Food

All the fun of stewed prunes but smaller. Try adding some lemon peel to the water.

Stewed Raisins

Wash ½ lb.  seedless raisins thoroughly in cold water. Barely cover the raisins with water, cover saucepan and let stand one hour. Then simmer until tender about 15 minutes. Serve hot or cold. 5 servings. The Modern Family Cookbook

  4. Throw some raisins in with your oatmeal, and you get this effect quite nicely.
