Somewhat like a cole slaw, but not quite. You may think summer when you think of cabbage salads but cabbage is fresh and inexpensive this time of year. Give it a try. I would mix everything but the cabbage and celery first in the bottom of the bowl, then toss with cabbage and celery.
2 cups shredded cabbage
1 cup sliced Pascal celery
â…“ cup Mayonnaise
Dash salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1½ tablespoons chili sauce
Crisp Lettuce
Combine first 6 ingredients in a mixing bowl, toss to mix. Pile lightly into lettuce cups on individual salad plates. 5 servings. The Modern Family Cookbook
