Rather like baked apples but peaches instead. I would be tempted to throw in a couple of cloves when adding the water and serve hot…but that is just me.
Pare 5 large or 10 medium peaches and place whole in a casserole. Add 1 tablespoon water and sprinkle with ½ cup sugar. Cover casserole and bake in a moderate oven (375°F.) 20 to 30 minutes or until tender. Chill before serving. 5 servings. The Modern Family Cookbook
