Lamb Patties

Filed under: Meat, Recipes, retro food — Retro Food

Now, just from the name, I expected something ground. This reminds me more of bacon wrapped steaks though. Oops, I am starting to think that these are ground like “lamb burgers”
5 lamb patties or 1¼ ground  lamb and 5 strips bacon
2 tablespoons bacon fat
½ teaspoon salt
1 chicken bouillon cube
½ cup hot water

If lamb patties are not already shaped and wrapped with bacon, shape them from the ground lamb and surround each with a strip of bacon, fastening with a toothpick; sprinkle with salt. Heat fat in skillet, lay in patties and brown on both sides. Dissolve bouillon cube in hot water and pour around patties. Cover tightly and cook over moderate heat until thoroughly done, about 20 minutes. Serves 5.

  1. I never would have thought of wrapping a rasher of bacon around a lamb burger. Hmmm I think I still have a lamb burger in the freezer…

  2. LOLOL isn’t a rasher 5 pieces of bacon or so? That seems excessive. You can do that with any sort of burger you know.
