Fruit Salad

From The Modern Family Cookbook

Use any combination of drained canned or fresh fruits, including orange or grapefruit, diced or cut in wedges as desired. Chill and serve on lettuce with mayonnaise or with boiled salad dressing.

What is fruit salad after all without some mayonnaise added? MMMMM has anyone ever had the retro favorite of oranges or grapefruit and mayonnaise?
