Bacon and Peanut Butter Sandwiches

From The Modern Family Cookbook
1/2 cup peanut butter
10 slices bacon, 1/2 lb.
5 stuffed olives, chopped
10 slices buttered bread
5 leaves lettuce

Mix the peanut butter well with its oil before measuring. Pan-broil bacon until done, then drain on absorbent paper. Crumble bacon and mix well with the olives and peanut butter. Spread on half the buttered bread slices, cover with a leaf of lettuce and top with remaining slices of bread. Cut each sandwich in half diagonally. Serve with radishes, pickles or more olives. 5 sandwiches.
