Stuffing mushrooms goes in and out of trendiness. I am not sure where it might be on the trend schedule right this moment, but I do know that we had stuffed mushrooms tonight. These were mammoth portabellas stuffed with a green pepper/onion/bread crumb stuffing and then topped with cheese. They weren’t that different from the stuffed button mushrooms of yesteryear.

Have you noticed we are using bread crumbs more now than we have in the last 5 years? What is up with that?
Bread crumbs are quite retro.
